Butler University Passport Fair

DO YOU NEED A PASSPORT?

Bring your completed passport application materials (see below) on Monday, October 5 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM to the Butler University Atherton Union, room 201 (near the Reilly Room) to have your passport application processed!

This is available for first-time passport applicants; it is open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members.

In addition to passport application processing, representatives from the post office will also be taking/print passport photos for passport applications (or you can choose to take the pictures home for use with a visa application).

WHAT TO BRING:

As described on the U.S. Dept. of State “Apply for Your Adult Passport” webpage, you will need to provide originals AND COPIES of most of your documents!

• Completed passport application

  • Print this single-sided.
  • Do NOT sign until you're at your appointment. 
• Evidence of U.S. citizenship, like:
  • A certified birth certificate issued by the city, county, or state (NOT issued by a hospital);
  • A previous U.S. passport;
  • A Consular Report of Birth Abroad or any birth document issued by the U.S. Department of State;
  • A certificate of citizenship; OR
  • A naturalization certificate
• Photo ID, like:
  • A current, valid Indiana driver's license, government ID, or military photo ID
    • If your driver's license is from out-of-state, you may be asked to provide a physical secondary ID, like a Butler ID!
  • A previous U.S. passport;
  • A naturalization certificate; OR
  • A certificate of citizenship
• Photocopies
  • Photocopy of your proof of American citizenship
  • Photocopy of the front & back of your photo ID
  • PHOTOCOPY REQUIREMENTS:
    • Use 8.5 inch by 11 inch paper
    • Use a single side of the paper
    • Black and white (no color)
• Passport-sized Photo
  •  If you would like your passport-sized photo taken at the fair, it is $15, exact cash, check, or money order. Check or money order made payable to the POSTMASTER.
• Passport Fee - $130
  • Exact cash, check, or money order only! Check or money order made out to U.S. Department of State.
• Passport Processing Fee - $35
  • Exact cash or check is accepted for this fee.
