Diversity Dialogue: Immigrant Simulation: Family Profiles and Discussion
Join us for a mini-version of the Indiana Immigrant Simulation Experience. The immigration simulation invites attendees to gain a picture of the day-to-day challenges that immigrants, particularly Latino/Hispanic families, face in Indianapolis. Some of us work with these communities and are undoubtedly aware of their struggles. Others may be sensitive to the immigrant plight and want to learn more. Regardless, this simulation will provide every participant with a clearer picture of what it's really like to be an immigrant in our community. This dialogue will provide participants with the opportunity to take on the role of an immigrant family member living in Indiana. Post-simulation, we will have the opportunity to discuss our experiences and hear from some immigrant members of our community.
RSVP is required. Due to sensitivity, this dialogue will be fully in-person. Space is limited. If you are interested in bringing your class, please contact Lauryn Jones (ldjones3@butler.edu).
