This year, as we aim to serve the growing numbers of Butler alumni across the NYC metro area, we are heading to the Children's Corner of Brooklyn's Prospect Park—and will follow our work project with a nearby brunch! The project site can be easily reached by taking the Q, B or Franklin Shuttle subway lines to the Prospect Park Station. Please arrive by 9:45 AM to join our group and sign a participation waiver.

Our project tasks will be assigned by the park, and could include sprucing up gardens, weeding, spreading mulch, painting fences or benches, or cleaning and maintaining pathways. Please bring your own water bottle; a cooler will be available for refills. Please remember to wear close-toed shoes and long pants that can get messy. All necessary tools and materials will be provided. Participants are responsible for their own belongings, so please bring only what you are comfortable carrying with you.

There is no cost to attend the service project. Brunch is at your own expense and is a short walk from the park. Space is limited, and reservations must be made online by Wednesday, August 21. A BITS t-shirt will be provided.
