Enjoy an evening of varied and eclectic programming with the Butler Choral Department's annual Fall Choral Concert. With appearances by the Butler Chorale, University Choir and Chamber Singers, our performances showcases highlights from across the centuries as well as contemporary favorites and newer works. Of special note are the Butler Chorale's presentation of Victoria's timeless "O Magnum Mysterium," and a new work, "Now We Belong," by John Wykoff with text by Minnesota poet Michael Dennis Browne, which celebrates the sense of belonging offered when we welcome the stranger: "Once we were strangers, we were welcomed, now we belong and believe in this land." Music by George Frideric Handel and Meredith Monk's innovative "Panda Chant" will be presented by University Choir, and the Chamber Singers will offer a variety of Renaissance madrigals in French, Italian and English.
