October Black Intellectual Series: The Erased History of Butler University with Sampson Levingston

Join the Hub for Black Affairs and Community Engagement for a Walk & Talk series exploring the historical intersections between Butler University and the local Black community. As part of this year’s Black Intellectual Series on Black Erasure, we will examine both the celebrated and overlooked chapters of our shared past—from the legacy of Indiana Avenue and the founding of Sigma Gamma Rho to the complex surrounding history that shaped our campus. Together, we’ll reflect on whose stories get documented, whose legacies endure, and how physical spaces reflect that history.
