Path to Publication
Are you a writer hoping to publish? This event is for you.
Efroymson Center for Creative Writing, 530 W Hampton Dr.
Monday, February 16, 6:30 PM
When, in the course of your development as a writer, should you submit your work? What journals should you send to? What makes for a good cover letter? How can you get a publisher interested in your book manuscript? Do you need an agent? How can you find one? How is the path to publication different for poets than for prose writers?
These questions and more will be answered by MFA faculty members Natalie Lima and Chris Forhan, who together have published poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. They will share stories of their own experiences with finding homes for their work and offer advice about navigating the world of publishing.
Open to all writers: undergraduate and graduate students from any major, alumni, and other members of our literary community!
Campus visitors should plan to park in visitor parking in the Sunset Avenue parking garage.
