Sojourners Matinee Performance

Sojourners is the first of a nine-play Cycle of plays by playwright Mfoniso Udofia. Mfoniso is a prolific storyteller whose work explores the Nigerian immigrant experience. She is a first-generation Nigerian-American, born to parents who moved from Nigeria to Texas in the wake of the Biafran War. They planned to have children, educate them, and then return. That did not happen and Mfoniso grew up in Greater Boston and attended Wellesley College. Sojourners is the origin story of a multi-generational epic cycle. Plays will premiere all over Boston through the end of 2026 with producing partners across the city. Each play stands on its own and builds upon the last.
