Duckwall Artist Series: Schelle, Sasaki, and Friends
New chamber music by composer / pianist / accordionist Miho Sasaki and Butler’s Composer in Residence Michael Schelle performed by JCA faculty artists and local professionals. This eclectic and exciting program includes an electrifying performance of Schelle’s eccentric Chopin-mashup “Fear and Loathing in the Carthusian Monastery at Valldemossa” (2022) for two pianos (three players), strings, winds and percussion, conducted by Butler’s dynamic Director of Bands, Dr. Trae Blanco. The concert will also include new music by a few Indiana composer friends.
