LGBTQIA+ Intersectionaility Dialogue: Neurodivergence in the LGBTQIA+ Community

The Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has created this syllabus to expose our campus to the various experiences of people in the LGBTQIA+ community, especially when their sexual orientation intersects with other marginalized identities. Neurodivergent queer people experience backlash and shame that hinder their healthcare, relationships, and safety. The syllabus materials highlight the relationship between neurodivergence and the LGBTQIA+ community, break down stigmas, and expose us to the realities of neurodivergent queer people. After reviewing the materials, we will have a dialogue regarding what we learned and how to better support the experiences of those discussed.
